Every audio professional knows that even the most sophisticated 'mix in the box' can never recreate the warmth and depth of the sounds of the analogue consoles of the 1970s. The main difference lies in the way audio signals blend naturally into analogue, creating a unique relationship between them. Despite its innovation, the digital mix tends to lack the spatiality, depth, detail and sound layering that only analogue can offer.
